Karibea Sainte-Luce Hotel Welcomed the Miss France 2026 Candidates: An Unforgettable Week in the Heart of Martinique
From November 9 to 16, 2025, Karibea Sainte-Luce Hotel had the immense pleasure of hosting the 30 contenders for the title of Miss France 2026. It was an exceptional week celebrating Martinican culture, discovery, and sharing—highlighted by the presence of Angélique Angarni Filopon, Miss France 2025 and proud native of Martinique.
For our establishment, this event was much more than a simple welcome: it was a true showcase of the island and all it has to offer.
A Warm and Authentic Martinican Welcome
Upon arrival, the candidates were immediately immersed in the warm atmosphere of Martinique. Our teams had prepared a festive and traditional welcome featuring:
- a live traditional music and dance group,
- a fresh coconut bar,
- tropical flower crowns, symbolizing hospitality and conviviality.
A Full Immersion into Martinican Culture and Landscapes
Throughout the week, between pageant preparation sessions and cultural outings, the candidates enjoyed a complete immersion in our island’s heritage.
Within our hotel, we had the pleasure of hosting a variety of workshops and activities:
- makeup sessions,
- catwalk classes with Clémence Botino (Miss France 2020),
- confidence-building workshops led by Amandine Petit (Miss France 2021),
- discovery of traditional headpieces,
- an introduction to Creole,
- a Chanté Nwel (traditional Christmas singing),
- and the famous Miss France general knowledge test.
In partnership with the Martinique Tourism Committee and several local stakeholders, the candidates also explored some of the island’s must-see attractions:
- the majestic Mount Pelée,
- the Transat Café L’Or village,
- an initiation to traditional yole sailing,
- a kayaking excursion,
- and the Gala Evening at Habitation Clément.
It was a week filled with emotion, perfectly illustrating the diversity and richness of experiences our island has to offer.
Outstanding Visibility for Martinique and for Karibea
The stay received extensive media coverage. Posts on the official accounts of Miss France and Angélique Angarni Filopon, along with features from national outlets such as Le Parisien, TF1 Info, Gala, and Paris Match, provided exceptional visibility for both Martinique and our establishment.
This media exposure directly strengthens the attractiveness of the destination and confirms the role of Karibea Sainte-Luce Hotel as a key player in Martinique’s tourism landscape.
